I liked the abrupt ending to the interview, “let me just go get a drink.” I agree with Larry about the media as filter and at times mere “infotainment” with the talking heads of rapid fire delivery such as a Sean Hannity. It is just like being fed treacle (Zappa called it “slime on the video” and Burroughs “being fed by a long spoon”). Cyberspace, despite its being vaunted as so interconnecting the whole globe, is isolating as well. Maybe we are drowning in information? Maybe poets should travel more.
